Hello:

Welcome to our blog.  Here we will talk about things we like, what has been going on with us, events and happenings that might be of interest to you, fun and unusual new things we have found, basically anything we want to talk about.  Sometimes the blogs will be from me, Kolby, but sometimes they will come from my daughters.

I will start by introducing us.  I am Kolby, "Shibui" and the "Daughters" are Acacia and Echelle.  They are high school students.  About 20 years ago, I started a graphic design company named Shibui.  Shibui is a Japanese word and it is a hard word to define in English but the closest I have found is subtle design with a spark of excitement.  A few years ago, I had stopped doing graphic design under the Shibui named.  When I started to create jewelry and needed a name for the company, Shibui returned.  My daughters started to play an active role in the company when they were just little kids.  That's when I added "& Daughters" to Shibui.
