My Christmas Present was a Kindle!

and I love it!  I like how it is easy to put in my purse and take with me.  I like how I can get a new book immediately and how many books are free or just a couple of dollars.  It will hold 1500 books so when I travel I now don't have to pack extra books in case I finish the one I have.  I've had more friends and family ask me if it will read to me?  They are being cute but when I tell them yes! in a male or female voice their eyes light up.

My daughter asked if I will miss holding a book but I am really hard onthem so they are pretty beat up when I'm done.  The screen is very easyto read and i can adjust the type size and spacing so it helps my eyes.

I have always read a lot since I was a teenager and since then I have kept a list of every book I have read.  The list is by year and it is fun to look back and see how many books I read a certain year.  Like when my daughters were born, I read a lot more books because I read while I was nursing them. Some years have fewer books listed because they were thicker books.  I have a number of years on my Blackberry.  My sister-in-law asked this summer what books I thought would be fun for her to read and I just pulled up the list and we could find them in the bookstore.

So as a rough number ... if I read an average of 20 books per year and I am soon to be 54. (wow!) So lets say I have a list of about 37 years long, then 37 x 20 = 740 books.  Crazy!

Thanks for listening.
