What does mowing the yard have in common with beading?
Okay. Hear me out with this. As I talked about in a previous post, I like to mow the yard.
I have a big ride on lawn mower.

I mow the four acres in sections. Some sections are wide open and I mow those areas
by traveling in a big square and working my way in. Just image my mower is a
needle with a thread and I'm adding beads as I go around.
The next section has a bunch of trees, so I use the peyote stitch and the trees
are bigger glass beads, so I go around and around
stitching those beads (trees) into my piece.
Sometimes I have to go back to a section and pick up a spot I missed with
the mower. This is just like weaving the tails of the thread back
into my jewelry.
Sometimes sections of the yard need to be mowed twice because the
grass is so thick. Here I am adding fringe to my creation.
Am I stretching it?
Beading and Mowing?
Thanks for Listening.
