Hybrid Parking?

Wednesday night I am running late for a seed bead class I am teaching at Walnut Creek Civic Arts. Its about an hour away from the house because it is during the commute. Anyway I usually stop to get a coffee before the class. Starbucks is next to a Fresh and Easy Store in a strip mall with lots of other stores and restaurants. Parking is tough at times.

So I'm waiting for this guy to pull out of a spot. He pulls out and it is a "hybrid parking space".

I haven't seen one before and I was sitting their contemplating it and thinking to myself dang I wanted that spot. Then I realized I was driving a hybrid car! I was so new to the idea, I plum forgot I have one of those. Cool!

Guess what I got for Christmas. A Dremel Drill Press!

I'm drilling holes in rocks and sea glass!

It is sooo much better than trying to hold this little thing with my fingers,

the Dremel with the other hand and trying not to slip and ruin the piece or my fingers.

How long do I cook a 36 pound stuffed turkey?

Maybe 2 days?

So I went to Costco to get my turkey for Thanksgiving. They only had little 14-15 pound ones. I needed a 23 pound. Which in my mind is a big bird. We usually have about 12 for dinner and we need leftovers. Anyway Costco didn't have them, so I went on a search.

I went to a Luckys and found a 23 pounder. But they also had 36 pounders! And they called them Young Turkeys! I have never seen a turkey that big! My girls asked if I had taken a picture and of course I didn't think to. So you will have to just image ... 36 pounds!

Dremel World

I mentioned to husband that I wanted a press that would hold my Dremel for Christmas. "That would be great!" was his comment with a smile. A couple of days later he went to Home Depot to check them out. He returned and said that he wanted me to see it and make sure it was what I wanted.

Field Trip! And to Dremel World!

Well, actually it was Home Depot and just a couple of shelves. But I can pretend.

We came home with it under his arms. I'm going to like opening this present! No surprises, but I will pretend.

I posted a picture of me awhile ago.
Do I look look how you imagined I would?
Older maybe?
In the last few weeks, I noticed that other jewelry and bead bloggers that I follow had posted pictures of themselves as well.
Also pictures of my old classmates.
I have found that often my mind's image of someone doesn't necessarily match reality.
It is nice to finally be able to put a picture of a person with the blog.
I am sorry that it took me so long to post my photo.
